The mobility of musicians and musical idioms during these centuries was one of the major factors in the formation of both European and local musical repertoires. This is known from basic studies on music history in various countries. This investigation concentrated on a comparison between phenomena that were recorded in Slovenian territory with contemporary trends in the neighboring Italian and Austrian lands. It focused on two models: the Latin monodic motet (an example of musical form) and the Academia Philharmonicorum (a music institution). The project aimed to clarify the role of Slovenian territory within Central-European musical development.
