Critical Editions of Early Music between Past and Future: 40 Years of the Series Monumenta artis musicae Sloveniae

The series of critical editions of early music from the Slovenian national heritage Monumenta artis musicae Sloveniae celebrates this year forty years of its existence. The first volume came out in 1983 and presently published are 63 volumes in the main series as well as four in the subseries of Supplementa. A number of eminent Slovenian and also other musicologists contributed to this important mission of the Institute of Musicology.  On Monday 4 September the institute will celebrate this anniversary with a two-part event and a subsequent concert.
