In memoriam Janez Matičič (1926–2022)

The internationally-renowned Slovenian composer Janez Matičič departed this life on Sunday 17th April. He was a member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and was also active in the Scientific Council of the Institute of Musicology ZRC SAZU. He left a rich and varied compositional oeuvre and remained an active pianist to the last. We will miss his love of life, his energy, cheerfulness and human warmth, and will fondly recall many humorous stories of his life's adventures.
