SAZU, Novi trg 3/1, Ljubljana
In September 2011 Dragotin Cvetko, member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the initiator of the Slovenian Musicology would be hundred years old. On this occasion the Institute of Musicology of the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, and the Slovenska matica organised an international musicological conference National Music Histories: Metamorphoses in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century. Following the path of Dragotin Cvetko’s life and work the conference focused on the discussion of trends and characteristics of musicological “schools” in the second half of the twentieth century, especially those concerned with the research of their own national musical cultures.
