In memoriam

Ego sum resurrectio et vita. Qui credit in me, etsi mortuus fuerit, vivet; et omnis, qui vivit et credit in me, non morietur in aeternum. (Ioannes 11:25-26)

It is with heavy hearts that we pass on the news that on May 3rd, on his 75th birthday, passed away our retired colleague and friend Tomaž Faganel. He was always intellectually curious and tackled every research topic with passion. Tomaž was our foremost expert on the work and life of composer J. K. Dolar, about whom he wrote a series of essays and prepared numerous musical editions. He was the general editor of the MAMS series of early music critical editions, a sought out organizer, and above all, an understanding, warm, lively, and always positive person whom we all loved dearly. We will cherish his memory.
